Learning from Olympic Medalists

The multi-day seminar covered specific subjects that included training techniques, ski waxing and IBU rules. Among those on hand were French Coach and Olympic Shooting Gold medalist Jean Pierre Amat and retired Austrian star and multiple Olympic medalist Christoph Sumann.

Brazilian Leandro Ribela commented, "This seminar is very important for us, since we are a country without snow. Here we learned some very specific things that we cannot get at home."

Importance of Development for IBU

IBU Communication Director Peer Lange emphasized the importance of development projects like the Coaches Seminar. "The IBU is a role model in development. We are active in this area not just in the season, but year round. It is very important for the IBU to insure that as many nations as possible rise up to a good level and can compete with the top teams."
